A very interesting couple of days. After a day walking the beach we then had a cookery lesson by the great chef here on Baga beach.
He showed us how he cooks Chicken Do Pyaza. After covering our hair with what looked like show caps we went to a kitchen not like we know. Under a tarpaulin at the back of the bar and you don't look round too much!!!!  It was hot and chaotic. But boy what they produce is fab food. So many spices made into different pastes and used in a set pattern for various reasons. Not sure we remember it all but could be trying this when travelling with van. Rob and Brenda watch out 😎🌴

Next day we decided to get a taxi and visit old Goa etc. It was a grand total of approx £26 for the day!! Lovely calm driver (which does not happen often) dropping us off by beautiful churches. The Potuguese influence is still visible with colonial style houses along the approach. After being pushed into buying garlands and candles but only a £1.00 so a major purchase. At least we did not feel left out as most people had them very interesting wondering round the churches of Goa.
Found our driver and he said a Spice farm was next on the list. But the one we wanted to go was different to the one he had planned. Probably commission was on the cards. We won and off we set to find the non tourist one a called savoi.
Arrived at the gate and guess what no one there!! But eventually we made contact and so glad we did as a great experience. First with taste nibbles and a juice made of produce from the forest. We sat over looking a rain forest watching all different kinds of birds etc. Then lunch. Well what a feast.
Then we met the owner Mr Shetye who arrived with a small knife in his hand. Turns out this was needed to show us roots etc. He took us in a lovely amble round his 40 hectares of spice land showing us lots of spices growing naturally and told us how they managed the land. Lovely experience.Back for a quick swim before dinner. Great day. Beach tomo and then another trip day on Christmas Day. Happy Christmas from India and us.

We have now arrived in the warm. I know you all don't want to hear that BUT it is 😉.
Good flight this time with BA but they really should look at the plastic bits they serve with the meals. Cutlery, plastic glasses, plastic containers and water bottles. Especially as India has banned the import of theses items from flights.
24hrs in Mumbai and adjusted our brains to the chaos by haveing a good walk around. Nice hotel with one of the best beds we have slept in for a long time. Magic after a long flight.
A short plane ride to Goa with Vistara UK. Very impressed no plastic and they ask passengers to look after their country and do not drop litter 😉👍😀
Thought we would have to buy some food but lovely air stewardship came along and gave us all a hot  wrap and cake, lovely well done to them.
The usual hassle with taxi driver not being at GOA to pick us up and when he did arrive turns out he was showing the wrong name. Took trolley off us and off he went not once looking if we were keeping up. Think he was keeping out if earshot of the comments from us !!!
After a drive down a little narrow lane we arrived at our little shack which is clean and even has hot water. Going to make the most of that.
Baga beach is certainly a lot busier than when we were here many years ago. We have chosen the right place this time as well. Nice people and superb food. Food so good we asked for a cookery lesson which is tomo so that should be interesting and hot.
So many lifeguards on the beach but with lots of large (large!!!) not only in numbers men, drinking and then wallering in the warm 😎 Sea they are certainly needed. Lots of blowing of whistles and gestating of arms from very attentive rescuers.
Well out of our air conditioned room to a lovely warm evening and dinner on the beach with our feet in the sand 😎😊🌴

Getting ready to visit again 😀🌴

We just can not resist returning to India. Last year's trip was fantastic traveling to both the south and north of India. Can India keep putting new experiences our way ? OF COURSE IT CAN.
Off we go again very shortly to enjoy 8weeks of not only weather warmth but the warmth from the people we meet. We are travelling southern India this time and have again secured the driver of our choice. Sanjith is all booked and we are looking forward to meeting up again with him.(hope he feels the same about us!!)😀👍
Visas booked and that was a new experience as it has changed to now a 12 month visa with multi entries. Plenty of choice to return then over the next 12months 🤔😎
Hotels booked with lots of jungle experiences this time. First Goa calls for Christmas and New Year.
So if you would like to keep up with our adventure copy the link to this blog site and we will take you on another exciting trip to Beautiful India.
